That your Petitioner left Hongkong in the month of April
1914 for Shanghai and arrived in Shanghai a few days later and
stayed there for about 6 weeks and returned to Hongkong in the
month of May 1914 being absent from the said Colony for about
2 months.
That your Petitioner left Hongkong in the month of Febru-
ary 1915 for England via San Francisco in the United States of
America and arrived in San Francisco about 4 weeks later to
that date. He travelled in the United States for about two
months and then went to England where he stayed about two
months. He then returned to Hongkong via the United States
and arrived in Hongkong in the month of October 1915 being
absent from the said Colony for about 8 months.
The excepted periods during the 10 years immediately pre- ceding his departure for Shanghai on the 12th day of October
1915 are as follows:-
